Privacy Policy

STRIVN ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

Account information: email address and authentication data, handled via Firebase Authentication.

Health and fitness data: with your permission, we access HealthKit data including workouts, heart rate, and recovery metrics to power training recommendations. We also collect data you log directly in the app, including exercises, sets, reps, weight lifted, and training notes.

Nutrition data: food items you log are matched against the USDA FoodData Central database to estimate nutritional intake.

Apple Watch data: if you use STRIVN's Watch app, workout session data syncs between your Watch and phone via WatchConnectivity.

Usage and coaching data: to generate personalized coaching insights, your training history and goals may be sent to OpenAI (GPT-4o) for analysis. This data is used solely to generate your coaching responses and is not used to train OpenAI's models, per OpenAI's API data usage policy.

Payment information: subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to: diagnose training plateaus and generate volume/recovery recommendations, provide AI-powered coaching insights, track your progress over time, process subscription payments and manage entitlements, and send you product updates if you've opted in.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following service providers, each bound by their own privacy and security obligations: Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage, RevenueCat for subscription management, OpenAI for AI coaching features, and USDA FoodData Central (public database, queried only, no personal data sent).

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed per our Data Deletion policy.

Your Rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. See our Data Deletion page for instructions.

Children's Privacy

STRIVN is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
